Hierapolis and Pamukkale

On the balcony of our hotel, Cam is checking out the guide book. Hierapolis was an ancient Roman spa city and the place sick people came looking for a cure.  The apostle Phillip is buried in a well marked hillside tomb.

Icy cold pool water!

A view of the travertines from the hotel. Hierapolis is at the top of the hill.  There's a car park at the top or you can hike through the travertines, up the hill to the ruins.  It was a huge city.

Johanna, Nicole and Sam at the entrance to Hierapolis.

Johanna walking down the travertines.  Nicole went with her as did our guests.  Cam, Sam and I floated in the Ancient Pool at the top and then went for a fishy foot massage.
